Description: 1947 Mel Ott "All-Star Award" 14K gold presentational lighter. Handsome piece by Dunhill has "All-Star Award 1947 Mel Ott" engraved on the side. Marked "Outer Jacket 14K Gold" on the underside with some mild general handling and age related wear. Ott ended his (22) year career in July of 1947 and it is likely that this piece was presented in honor of his (11) consecutive All-Star Game appearances.
