Description: Buffalo Bills professional model football helmet c.1960s (Team physician collection). Early Riddell Kra-Lite model helmet retaining its red Bills insignia decals on the side panels with red and black striping running along the center seam. Interior retains its original suspension padding along with ear pads and Riddell two bar face mask. Ten small vintage red stickers are located in symmetrical arrangement on the forehead area of the helmet the purpose of which we have not been able to discern. Dr. Godfrey wrote his name inside the helmet along with several period numerals that appear to be "7" and "86" or "36". Overall evident use visible throughout including impact marks and chipping/movement to the one decal. Very uncommon vintage AFL model helmet from a classic franchise.
