Description: Rare 1945 Harvey "Hub" Walker Detroit Tigers World Series ring. 10K gold ring of a desirable and uncommon design format as issued to "Hub" Walker as a member of the 1945 World Champion Detroit Tigers having an inset diamond solitaire of approx. .25 total carat weight surrounded by "Detroit Tigers World Champions" lettering. Side panels have raised silver decor including "HW" initials. Interior ring band is marked "10K" along with "BP & Co." manufacturer's hallmarks and has been inscribed, "Presented to Harvey Walker by the Baseball Commissioner" in cursive lettering. Overall condition is outstanding with light general surface wear and notably strong lettering/engravings. The 1945 Tigers World Championship ring is one of the rarest and most sought after of the 1940s era rings with the offered specimen being offered for the first time publicly by the family of Hub Walker. Includes letter of provenance from the Walker family and a copy of the "Detroit Tigers" hard cover book signed to Walker by author Fred Lieb: EX/MT-NM
