Description: Frank Crosetti New York Yankees professional model home jersey c.1946-48. Rare pinstriped flannel jersey has the famed interlocking "NY" logo on left front chest. In the collar is a "Spalding" manufacturers tag along with size (42) and "Dry Clean Only" tags. Below is an embroidered strip tag reading "F Crosetti." Holes on the lower front and back tails of the jersey, similar to those found on other Yankees jerseys from this period, would have had a string tied through to help it remain tucked in. An outline of the "2" player number, which has been removed, can be seen on the back. Usage and wash wear are evident throughout along with some minor scattered stains. A rarely offered Yankees home jersey from an era in which they were a dominant force in the American League. Includes a pair of Yankees home pinstriped pants for display (late 1940s-50s Wilson tag) and LOA from Hunt Auctions: VGEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
