Description: Rare Bob Meusel professional model baseball bat c.1922-25 (PSA/DNA "GU 7"). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Meusel facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 37oz. Strong usage wear is evident throughout with visible ball and contact marks. Significant grain swelling, due to repeated contact, has been secured in place with a series of vintage nails. In addition, there is a crack which begins at the upper handle and continues into the grain separation. Factory sidewriting has faded and is no longer visible. Playing in the shadow of Ruth and Gehrig throughout the 1920s, Bob Meusel was a core member of the New York Yankees fabled "Murderers Row." During his time with the club they won (6) American League and (3) World Series Championship titles. A notably rare signature model and one of only a few to have surfaced.
