Description: Al Kaline attributed Detroit Tigers professional model hat c.1965. Classic blue hat has the Tigers embroidered gothic style "D" logo on the front. A "Tim McAuliffe" label remains on interior band which has "KM Pro Cap" and size "7" stampings. Player number "6" is written under the brim in vintage black marker. Exceptionally well preserved with evident usage wear throughout. An included signed letter of provenance relays that it was obtained by a long time collector from Tigers team President John F. Fetzer in August of 1965. A relatively obscure style, Kaline can be seen wearing this version of the team's logo on his 1966 Topps baseball card.
