Description: Rare Larry "Yogi" Berra professional model baseball bat c.1951-52. Beautiful early playing career exemplar of Louisville Slugger 125 model number measuring 35" long and weighing 34.6oz. The bat exhibits very fine evident use including ball marks and stitching impressions. Light brown patination with desirable early "Larry Berra" facsimile signature stamp on the barrel and model R43 stamped don knob end. The bat has a professionally repaired handle crack and small knob chip neither of which detract in any fashion from the visual appearance of the bat. Highly desirable early career model dating to the 1951-52 period during which was the only time which Berra ordered this particular bat model. Offered for the first time at public auction.
