Description: Fine Luke Appling professional model baseball bat c.1934-44. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with "Appling" name block lettered into the barrel measures 34.75" long and weighs 33.9oz. Outstanding usage wear is evident throughout with ball and contact marks covering the barrel. A handle crack was secured in the period with several nails and there are two rings of tape placed over the general area. There is an area of staining/discoloration on lower/back portion of the barrel. Appling posted a .310 lifetime batting average and earned a pair of batting titles during his (20) seasons with the Chicago White Sox.
