Description: 1965 Roberto Clemente Gold Glove Award. Prestigious figural award as presented annually to the premier defensive players of the National and American League by position. Mahogany wooden plinth base displays a full size gilt painted Rawlings leather glove with "Major League All Star Fielding Team" impressed black lettering. Figural baseball shaped finial affixed in front of diamond shaped wooden back splash with brass facade having "Rawlings Gold Glove Award" inscribed on front. Brass placard displayed on front of base inscribed, "Outfield-Roberto Clemente-5th Award 1965 The Sporting News National League All-Star Fielding Team". 16" long with some replating to the brass backsplash and baseball finial. Small repaired crack to joint of wooden backsplash at the base and small corner ding at front left of base.
