Description: Roberto Clemente 1961 All-Star Game presentational award. Enormous silver-plated bowl measures 16" in diameter and 8" in height as presented to Clemente for his selection to the NL All-Star team. Inscribed on front, "All Star Games San Francisco-Boston 1961 Roberto Clemente" in reference to the two game format employed by Major League Baseball in an effort to increase revenues for the player pension fund. Marked Wilcox International Silver Co. on base. Bowl exterior remains fairly clean overall with two small indentations that could be restored if so desired. Interior of the bowl has some tarnish and surface wear to the bottom area. Includes letter of provenance from the Clemente family: EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
