Description: May 1960 Roberto Clemente National League Player of the Month presentational inkwell (World Championship Season). Stylish black alabaster rectangular base with applied brass placard inscribed to Clemente in recognition of his honor as National League Player of the Month for May of 1960. Brass pen receptacles remain intact with one pen missing. Small swivel brass case clock by Semca found towards the back of the top portion. Placard is inscribed, "Presented to Roberto Clemente Pittsburgh Pirates in Recognition of Being Named National League Player of the Month for May 1960 by NL Baseball Writers & Broadcasters" along with facsimile signature of NL President Warren Giles. Placard has some light surface scratching from handling. The clock exhibits some evident corrosion to brass casing and interior dial from moisture exposure. 10" long.
