Description: 1961 Roberto Clemente NL Batting Championship presentational trophy. Handsome figural trophy given to Clemente in recognition of his 1961 National League Batting Championship featuring art nouveau style loving cup atop mahogany wooden plinth base. Figural batsman finial at top with bronze wash finish. Brass placard applied to the base inscribed (in Spanish), "1961 Champion Batter National League Graduated 1954 Commercial Institute of Puerto Rico: Gift From Your Companions". 21" tall with a few very minor areas of tarnish to the plating.
