Description: Rare 1940 Mike McCormick Cincinnati Reds World Series attributed professional model home jersey. Cream colored flannel jersey has the "Reds" team logo patch on left front chest and number "20" back. "Goldsmith" manufacturer's tag appears in the collar and "M McCormick '40" is embroidered on the front tail. While Spalding provided the Reds jerseys for regular season use, the team turned to Goldsmith, a local source, for those which were intended for the post-season. The jersey remains in fine overall condition with light general usage and age related wear. McCormick was in his Rookie season and played in all 7 World Series games helping the team to their first Championship title since 1919.
