Description: Rare 1935 Martin Dihigo autographed "Negro World Series" envelope (see description) Desirable original envelope with ornate printed front done to advertise the Series which took place at Yankee Stadium. Martin Dihigo and the New York Cubs faced the powerhouse Pittsburgh Crawfords in a (7) game showdown. On the back, within his own handwritten return address, is a "Martin Dihigo" signature done in ink. In addition, he has written the name and address of the recipient on front. When opened, the envelope was torn and there are resulting flaws which include several chips, small folds/creases, and a missing portion of the front. The tear also bisects the autograph however when positioned for display this has only minimal effect. A rare autograph made more special appearing on a substantive association piece.
