Description: Rare c.1908 Detroit Tigers "Champions of American League" matchsafe (VG/EX) Early celluloid over metal piece featuring a composite of player portraits and "Champions of American League" titling which notes both the 1907 and 1908 seasons. Those shown include Hall of Famers Ty Cobb, Hugh Jennings, and Sam Crawford. The reverse has "Mundus Beer" advertising.
