Description: Significant June 30, 1970 Riverfront Stadium "First Pitch" attributed baseball. Spalding C.Feeney Official National League baseball has been hand lettered on the side panel, "June 30, 1970, First Pitch From The 1st Game at Riverfront Stadium." An accompanying letter of provenance relays that, "After the first pitch was thrown...the home plate Umpire gave this ball to the umpires room attendant...the next day the ball was given to me..." The Reds moved into their new home part-way throughout the 1970 season and faced Hank Aaron and Atlanta Braves in the opening game. The venue would play host to the All-Star Game that same year along with a pair of World Series games.
