Description: Fine Danny Murtaugh single signed baseball. MacGregor "Official Southern Association" baseball has been signed across the sweetspot, "Danny Murtaugh." Blue ink signature rates 8 out of 10. The ball displays light to mild toning with little mentionable wear. Murtaugh spent (15) seasons as Manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates leading them to the postseason (5) times and a pair of World Series Championships in 1960 and 1971. He remains a beloved figure in the town which favors their sports heroes and his number "40" was retired in 1977. A notorious non-signer Murtaugh left a wave of clubhouse and secretarial autographed material in the marketplace and his signature is far more uncommon than nearly any other prominent figure who spent so long a time involved in the game.
