Shield shaped wooden placard is accompanied by a period press photo showing The Yankee Clipper on field at Shibe Park as he receives it from the Mayor of Vineland, N.J. Lengthy text on the metal front plate reads in part, "Presented To Joseph Paul DiMaggio, In Recognition Of Outstanding And Sterling Qualities of Character And Sportsmanship..."
