Description: 1976 Tony Dorsett Walter Camp "All-America Award." Desirable honor is bestowed annually to the collegiate Player of The Year, as selected by a group of Division 1-A Coaches, by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. Past recipients have included a host of noteworthy players, most of whom have transitioned from college to wildly succesful NFL careers. Best known among this list are Barry Sanders, Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, and Tony Dorsett. In 1976 Dorsett helped lead the University of Pittsburgh to a National Title winning the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, and Walter Camp Award along the way. He is universally regarded as one of the greatest running backs in college football history having ended his Senior year (1976) as the all-time leader in rushing yards. Wooden plaque (10"x13") has a pair of gold colored metal plates affixed at front. The first bears a printed image of Walter Camp which is captioned "Father of the Great American Game of Football." The other reads, "Walter Camp Football Foundation All-America Award, Presented to Tony Dorsett, University of Pittsburgh Running Back, 1976." Touch of light scattered wear: EX/MT
