Description: Gale Sayers December 18, 1966 Chicago Bears single game rushing record game used football. Official Pete Rozelle model NFL football as used in the game between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings in which Sayers, at the time, set the Bears single game rushing record of 197 yards. The ball is titled in white paint on side panel with Sayers' statistics and game score (mistakenly painted as 47 to 24, actual score was 41-28). Ball itself shows appropriate mild to moderate use. Identified NFL record game footballs from the period are notably scarce with this particular example originating from one of the all-time great NFL running backs: EXEstimated Price Range: ($3,000-$5,000)
