Description: *UPDATED DESCRIPTION: Early Baltimore Colts sideline cape c.1953. Oversized cold weather jacket/cape done in blue wool and lined with gray satin. "Baltimore Colts" is lettered in similar fashion on either side allowing for reversible use. This team designation was added when the Franchise moved to Baltimore from Texas and the old logo is believed to remain intact under the secondary period Colts logo that was added. This is based on a third example from the Hott collection (previously sold) which had the Dallas patch remaining intact. Very desirable in that the vestiges of 'Dallas Texans" titling is visible under the new "Colts" team designation. "Sand-Knit" manufacturers tag appears in one pocket.
