Description: 1949 Ruth Richard Rockford Peaches AAGPBL contract (Championship season). Rare original contract as executed by Richard and the Peaches for her services during the 1949 season. Richard was one of the best known and most talented players in the AAGPBL appearing in (6) All-Star Games and was a member of (4) Rockford Peaches Championship teams. This "Player Copy" (as noted in typed at upper right front) has been signed inside by Richard, on the player line, with Hall of Famer Max Carey on the "President" line above. Both are done in period fountain pen rating 9-9/10 out of 10. Light general handling and storage wear with typical mailing folds and an additional vetical fold at center which has been well pressed out through years of flat storage.
