Description: 1942 Johnny Pesky Naval/Military Service documents and related material incl. Eddie Collins signed letter. Interesting archive as relates to Pesky's entry in the armed forces includes Jan. 21 dated letter on Red Sox stationary signed "Eddie Collins" (8/9 out of 10) regarding Pesky's draft board status; June 15th "Notice of Classification" postcard; June 8th letter from Selective Service Board; June 10th "Order to Report For Induction" paperwork; and June 15th postmarked envelope sent to Pesky by the Red Sox containing a letter from someone at the team whom was helping get his paperwork in order along with some onion skin copies of correspodence sent on his behalf.
