Description: Philadelphia Phillies professional model jacket c.1950s. (likely issued to Andy Seminick or Smokey Burgess, later to Rick Wise). Maroon jacket with white leather sleeves has "P" logo on front chest. 1960s era "Wilson" manufacturer's tag appears in the collar with adjacent size "48" flag tag. Below it appears that "Wise 38" had been written, now faded, in marker within an area encompassing a white stripe. In addition, there is a "21" embroidered player number strip tag near waist. Given the dating period of the Wilson tagging it is likely that the jacket was issued to either Seminick or Burgess and was retained by the team and later issued to Rick Wise. Signed on the front, "Rick Wise No-No 6-23-71" in marker rating 8 out of 10. Evident usage and general age wear with soiling/discoloration to sleeves and the small strip which was in collar to hang the jacket from is no longer present.
