Description: Fine Philadelphia Phillies c.late 1940s warm-up jacket (exceedingly rare style). Heavy woolen cold weather jacket with vibrant red body sleeves accented by red, white, and blue trim. A "P" team logo appears on front chest with "Phillies" team name lettered across the back. Fur lined interior has a "Wilson" in the collar with adjacent size "46" tag. Strip tag below, presumably a player identifier, is no longer present. Exceptionally well preserved with the only notable flaw being a break in leather hanging strip at neckline. A choice early display piece and exceptional rarity. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions and a MEARS authentication hologram is applied inside: EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$3,000)
