Description: 1949 George Earnshaw Philadelphia Phillies professional model road jersey. Road gray flannel jersey accented at neck and arm holes with original red/blue trim has "Phillies" team name lettered across the front in scripted logo font and player number "38" on back. The team name is a well matched replacement that has been expertly applied. In the collar is a "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with adjacent size "48" flag tag. Embroidered strip tag below notes the player, "Ernshaw." In the tail is additional embroidered strip tag noting the year "49." Usage and wash wear evident throughout with a few minute scattered holes largely confined to shoulder area. Phillies flannels of this early vintage are rarely offered.
