Description: Rare 1972 Garo Yepremian Miami Dolphins professional model jersey. White mesh jersey with orange and blue striping on sleeves having turquoise/orange number "1" on front, back, and both shoulders. Original nameplate with "Yepremian" lettering affixed to the reverse retaining its original Sand Knit "Exclusive for Miami Dolphins..." tagging on tail front. Jersey exhibits very fine use and wash wear with appropriate puckering to numerals and lettering. Yepremian was one of the finest kickers of the period and was noted for a double overtime game winning field goal in the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs. He is also well remembered for an infamous missed field goal and "flubbed" pass during Super Bowl VII that was returned for a touchdown but the Dolphins went on to win and comlete their undefeated perfect season.
