Description: Early 1960s Sonny Jurgensen Philadelphia Eagles professional model jersey. White dureene jersey with kelly green sleeve stripes and number "9" sewn on front, back, and sleeves. Crotch strap retains a "MacGregor" manufacturers tag noting the size "44" and wash tag. Strong usage and wash wear with some fraying and a small hole on front. Drafted by the Eagles and making his debut with the club in 1957, Jurgensen was a member of their 1960 Championship team. Athough a backup during his first few seasons he took over full time duties in 1961 posting very strong numbers passing for an NFL record 3,723 yards and notching (32) touchdown passes. Through a career which eventually lead to a stint with the Washington Redskins Jurgensen established a fine record with many notable accomplishments and is considered one of the games' all-time great pure passers. Outstanding all original Hall of Famer jersey with impeccable first hand provenance.
