Description: 1911 World Series program (Giants vs. Athletics at New York) scored for Series Opening game. Original program issued for game played at the Pholo Grounds has been scored neatly in pencil for Game (1) in which Hall of Famers Christy Mathewson and Chief Bender took the mound. Front cover displays striking and crisp coloration with some slight wear and chips at (3) corners. The entire program has had masterful restoration done to reverse tears incl. (1) which is situated toward lower right corner and affects all pages.
