Description: George Brett professional model baseball bat c.1986-89. Louisville Slugger 125 model C271 baseball bat with Brett facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 34.25" long and weighs 32.6oz. Exceptional usage wear throughout with stitch, ball transfer, contact, and rack marks littering the barrel and his trademark heavy pinetar application on handle extends to centerbrand. "LOU", believed to be a nickname used by close friends and teammates, has been written on the knob in vintage black marker and is a trait common to a small number of Brett game bats. A large crack to the barrel end appears to have been filled in with putty. With regard to player specific characteristics and in turn overall display value this example ranks among the best we have offered from the dating period.
