Description: Kirby Puckett professional model baseball bat c.1986-89 (with strong 1987 Championship season attribution). Louisville Slugger 125 model C243 baseball bat with Puckett facsimile signature impressed in barrel end measures 34" long and weighs 30.4oz. Evident usage wear throughout with ball contact, stitch, and cleat marks to barrel. Upper handle retains a generous amount of pine tar and has a significant crack which is not visible when the bat is positioned for display. Written on the knob in bold white lettering is "34 XXX." Available Louisville Slugger ordering records indicate that black finish model C243 bats matching the length/weight specifications of this example were only sent to Puckett in 1987 lending for a succinct attribution to the Twins World Series Championship season.
