Description: 1973 Rod Carew Minnesota Twins professional model home jersey. White home jersey with "Twins" team name lettered across the front in scripted logo font has player number "29" on back. Team logo patch remains on left sleeve. "Wilson" manufacturers tag in the collar notes size ("42") and an embroidered strip tag on front tail reads "73 Set 1." Strong usage and wash wear throughout with appropriate fraying to applied lettering and numbers. There is some material separation in collar area and the upper edge of sleeve patch is no longer attached. Desirable jersey as relates to a heralded franchise player dating to the year he collected his second of what would be (4) consecutive American League batting titles with League leading totals in hits, triples, and average. Playing in every All-Star Game from 1967-1984 he established a career as one of the most consistent contact hitters in history. Twins shirts of this period are considerably scarce with this being the only Carew from 1973 we could find to have entered the secondary market.
