Description: "The American National Game of Base Ball" color lithographic print c. 1890-1900. Uncommon period large format rendering after the classic 1860s Currier & Ives engraving depicting the "Grand Match for the Championship at Elysian Fields Hoboken, NJ". Hand tinted print measures an impressive 22"x30" in a period Victorian oak frame. Marked "Litho. of Currier & Ives" at left margin with "152 Nassau St. N.Y." printed at right margin. Very clean overall with fine original color remaining intact. Highly desirable early printing of impressive large folio size format not to be confused with the more common later replications by Lucas: EX-MTEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$3,000)
