Description: Derek Jeter autographed and inscribed 2003 World Series Game (6) used base. Regulation base by Schutt Sports bears affixed MLB Authentication hologram which confirms use on October 25, 2003 in Game (6) of the World Series. This was the 100th and last World Series game played at old Yankee Stadium from 1923 to 2003. Upper surface has the game logo screened on and Yankees, Marlins, and MLB logo medallions are inset at sides. It has been signed in black marker, "Derek Jeter" and inscribed in his hand "World Series Game #6 Used 10-25-03." Signature rates 8 out of 10. Appropriate usage wear/soiling along with handwritten positioning notations on underside. Affixed sheet of MLB notepad paper has written on game date and lot number as the base was purchased by our consignor at a charity event. Subsequently, and at great expense, he had the piece signed by Jeter through his agent, Steiner Sports (a marker which is presumably the one he used is also taped to underside). Highly desirable piece is one a very few such examples we have seen signed by as notable a figure as Derek Jeter.
