Description: Rare September 30, 1972 Roberto Clemente 3000th Hit game ticket stub. Original ticket as issued for the game played at Pittsburgh between the Pirates and Mets in which Clemente hit a double off of pitcher John Matlack for the 3000th hit of his career. The game would be the last regular season appearance for Clemente who was tragically killed in an airplane accident later that year. The offered ticket remains in fine overall condition free of creasing or surface abrasions. Reverse has small period ink notation "3000" at the bottom.
