Description: Rare 1958 Harmon Killebrew Washington Senators professional model home jersey. Harmon Killebrew went about his business in a methodical and quiet fashion playing first for the Washington Senators and then the Minnesota Twins when the franchise relocated. All the while "The Killer" posted lofty statistical numbers which were the equal of the greatest players from the 1950-60s era. Offered is one of the finest Kilebrew game jerseys extant dating to his early career period with the Washington Senators. Pinstriped zipper front flannel has "W" team logo on front chest and player number "3" on back. "Killebrew" embroidered strip tag appears in the collar and additional "58" embroidered year tag is on front tail. The "Wilson" manufacturers tag above notes size (44) and a wash tag is below. Strong usage and wash wear evident throughout with some staining and light fraying to material. The collar tag has some loss along both the top and bottom and the front chest logo is a period original which was removed from another Senators home jersey to replace a Minor League logo which had been in place. Killebrew has signed the jersey (3) times (collar, front tail, and on back number) in one case inscribing "1958" jersey and in another, "HOF 84 573 HR's." Marker signatures rate 6/7 (front) to 8 out of 10. One of the earliest and most significant game jerseys from the legendary slugger and member of the 500 Home Run Club.
