Description: 1951 Jackie Robinson autographed letter. September 20, 1951 dated letter on his personal stationery has been signed in period fountain pen, "Jackie Robinson" rating 8 out of 10. Content reads in part, "I wish to thank you for your interest and understanding. I find it most gratifying to know that there are people who think and feel as you do..." It has been relayed by our consignor that it was written in response to a fan whom had scolded him over a verbal exchange with Leo Durocher during which Robinson brought up his wife, Lorraine Day. Letter has a pair of light mailing folds with a hint of other wear. Includes original mailing envelope and auction LOA from JSA: NMEstimated Price Range: ($1,500-$2,500)
