Description: 1941 Johnny Pesky Louisville Colonels Most Valuable Player award trophy. Noteworthy award as presented to Pesky in recognition of his Most Valuable Player selection as a member of the 1941 Louisville Colonels. Columnar bakelite base features a figural batter at the top with affixed placard on the front inscribed to Pesky. David Roth's Trophy Co., Louisville manufacturer's label on interior. 16" tall with some typical light to moderate surface wear. The trophy includes an original 1941 Louisville program picturing Pesky on the front cover. Program has some vestiges of period ink around Pesky's face and has been autographed by Pesky.
