Description: July 24, 1951 Johnny Pesky Day original presentational artwork display with related presentational leather album. Matted and framed 15"x20" original hand drawn and decorated presentational artwork display by noted cartoonist Bill Coyne. Large certificate was presented to Pesky "From the baseball fans of New England" on the occasion of Johnny Pesky Day held at Fenway Park on July 24, 1951. Top of the piece features a hand colored baseball graphic with the bottom having been signed by members of the committee including Chairman Rev. Francis Dolan. Certificate itself remains very clean with some light to moderate foxing to the matting and the frame has a few small mounting holes: EX. The lot also includes the original red leather bound presentational album given to Pesky by the Red Sox titled on front cover in gilt lettering. Interior features original photography of the day inclusive of images depicting the offered certificate: EX-MT.
