Description: Exquisite July 24, 1951 Johnny Pesky Night presentational bronze plaque. Substantive original bronze plaque as presented on the occasion of "Johnny Pesky Night" at Fenway Park. Plaque measures 19" tall and weighs an impressive 23.7lbs. with raised titling at top, "1951 Red Sox To Johnny with sincere admiration from his teammates and coaches of the Boston Red Sox". Hand painted Red Sox insignia centered amongst the text with "Presented Johnny Pesky Night July 24, 1951" at bottom beneath crossed bat and ball decor. Facsimile signatures of the Red Sox players and coaches adorn the center portion of the plaque. One of the more impressive Red Sox related presentational pieces that we have handled with note to its direct provenance to a franchise icon.
