Description: Kid Nichols' personal 1889 "Athletics Sports" book and 1905 Spalding Baseball Guide. Well traveled leather bound edition of the 1905 Spalding Guide has "Charles Nichols" gilt lettered on the front cover and it appears he had written "wrong picture" next to what is supposed to be his image on the inside. Wear throughout with loss/chipping to covers (which have tape applied to bound edge) and wrinkling and corner/edge wear to interior pages. It appears that some additional damage may be the result of some moisture exposure; hard cover edition of "Athletic Sports in America, England, and Australia" showing considerable wear with separating covers, some rips/tears (outside and in) and possibly some missing interior pages. Nichols has made two small ink notations on at least one interior page: PR-PR/GDEstimated Price Range: ($300-$500)
