Description: Choice selection of Boston Red Sox and Fenway Park related photography c.1940s-1960s, archive of acetate negatives. Grouping of imagery as relates to the fabled Boston venue to include: Series of (24) taken in and around Fenway during the 1946 World Series (crowd scenes, vantages of the field, some with players, and shot of several notables in attendance including Joe DiMaggio); (2) images of Bob Hope on Opening Day 1958; (4) images of Ted and Bobby Kennedy at 1964 Opening Day ceremonies; Opening Day of 1960 game action scene; image of fans gathered at corner of Van Ness and Jersey St (since renamed Yawkey Way); charming shot of a young fan following a game through binoculars; pair of ticket clutching young fans; far vantage of Ted Williams in front of the Green Monster; and numerous others. Mostly 4"x5" with little to no wear affecting image portion. Includes letter of provenance from the Brearley family: EX/MT-NM
