Description: Exceptional Ted Williams autographed photograph c.1939-1940. Stunning sepia tone 8"x10" pictures a young Ted Williams in Red Sox uniform in midst of a leaping catch. Boldly signed across the front in black fountain pen rating 10 out of 10. Signature is an extremely uncommon early career example and the first of its type we have encountered on so appealing an image in this larger size. Photograph itself remains very clean displaying excellent contrast and condition flaws limited to a few surface wrinkles primarily at upper right corner.
