Description: Kent "Rip" Ryan Detroit Lions professional model jersey c.1938-1940. Rare wool/rayon blend blue pullover jersey with player number "2" on front and back in silver satin twill. Three quarter length sleeves retain original elbow padding. "O'Shea Knitting Mills" manufacturer's tag in collar with additional "O'Shea", "Wool & Rayon", and size "40" tags in crotch flap. Fine evident usage wear with minor soiling to numbers, surface pilling and several very small holes on the lower back. Highly uncommon early uniform style.
