Description: Important rookie era Jim Thorpe Carlisle Indians team photographic postcard c.1908. Notably scarce real photographic postcard picturing a very young Jim Thorpe posed in full uniform as a member of the Carlisle Indians football team. The offered postcard is one of the earliest of its type given that Thorpe began his athletic career on the Carlisle Indians track and field team in 1907. Titled at bottom right, "Carlisle Indian Football Squad 08". Reverse is unused with some light to moderate soiling and small "15 cents" notation.
