Description: "The Greatest Game Ever Played" attributed goal post section signed by the 1958 Champion Baltimore Colts. Wooden slat (approximately 3.5"x7.5") housed in a large display is attributed to use in the fabled NFL Championship Game which was played at Yankee Stadium. The Colts beat New York 23-17 in the only Championship Game in history decided in overtime. As noted on the lower information placard, "at the end of the game the fans rushed the field...goal posts were torn down and the fans took a piece of history home..." A total of (14) Colts team members signed the board in period ink (believed to have been done shortly after the game) including Unitas, Marchetti, Donovan, Parker, Nelson, Moore, Szymanski, and others. Signatures rate 6 to 7/8 out of 10. Displayed in custom shadowbox measuring 15.75"x23.5" overall.
