Description: 1984 Cal Ripken Jr. autographed Baltimore Orioles professional model road jersey (MEARS A9). Road jersey has "Orioles" team name lettered across the front in scripted logo font with player number "8" below. Number also appears on back below "Ripken" nameplate. Neck and sleeves are trimmed in orange/black and a rare "Orioles 30th Anniversary" patch remains affixed to left sleeve. Medalist Sandknit "Designed & Tailored Exclusively" tag is present on front tail with (additional Sandknit tag often found above is not). On the inside tail are a pair of strip tags; the first has "84 44Z" printed on (year and size), the second has "RIPKEN" handwritten. Light/moderate evident usage and wash wear throughout. Ripken has signed the front in black marker dated 5/10/1984, a highly desirable trait placing the jersey in his hands in the period. Highly desirable all-original jersey as relates to early portion of his storied career and one of a select few we have offered.
