Description: Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and Hornets folk art decorated baseball by George Sosnak c.1963. Highly detailed hand decorated baseball covered on two panels and sweetspot with text and illustrations relating to the 1963 Dapper Dan Dinner in Pittsburgh. Steelers player Lou Michaels was honored and Sosnak's artwork incuding. a steel worker, Pirates logo, and Hornets hockey player. Exceptionally well executed in his inimitable style and inscribed by Sosnak on opposite sweetspot (not signed) with 1963 date. Remaining (2) panels have several faded ink signatures presumed to have been attendees at the function.
