Description: Umpire Dutch Rennert and Three-I League folk art decorated baseball by George Sosnak c.1959. Highly detailed hand decorated baseball covered on all panels with text and illustrations relating to umpire Rennert and the League in which he served in 1959-1960. Has likeness of Rennert, (2) players on opposite panels (one batting, one fielding), and panel of text with "1959" year noted. Exceptionally well executed in his inimitable style and signed in print, "Best Wishes, Geo. H. Sosnak." Mild toning with period coat of shellac applied and touch of minimal wear.
