Description: August 22, 1953 Yankee Stadium Old-Timers Day "In Memory of Lou Gehrig" presentational tray. Substantive circular brass tray (9" across) having incised stitching to simulate baseball appearance has the name "Joe Sewell" at center. Lettered around the edge, "Old Timers Day, Yankee Stadium, Played In The Year Of The 300th Anniversary Of The City Of New York." At top center is a well executed engraved portrait of Lou Gehrig titled, "In Memory Of Lou Gehrig, Native New Yorker." Bottom is impressed with the Yankees top hat logo and the date, "August 22nd 1953." Signed in black fine point marker, "Joe Sewell H.O.F. 1977" rating 8 out of 10 (slight skip in last name). Little to no wear with even age patina throughout.
